I Built a Website Called TapUp Digital Glossary!
Note
Sorry — this service is currently available in Japanese only. This article is a behind-the-scenes note.
Why I Built It
As the AI revolution accelerates the pace of digital progress, the gap between those who can keep up and those who can’t keeps widening. Closing that gap starts with making things easier to learn.
People who aren’t familiar with digital topics. And people who are, but want to broaden their knowledge further. I built this hoping to make it easier for them to expand what they know. How to Use It
Tap any term card that catches your eye, and the details will open.
Each entry is structured in three layers: “The Secret Behind the Name → A Simple Explanation → A Closer Look.”

You can also filter terms by category, tag, level, or keyword search.

Level indicates how niche a term is.
Lv.1 — Seen in everyday life
Lv.2 — Common in IT conversations
Lv.3 — Used in development work
Lv.4 — Appears in papers and research
That said, it’s really just a rough guide to where a term tends to show up, so even Lv.4 entries are written in plain language.
In Closing
Terms are like labels on drawers. Just by putting a term label on an empty drawer and storing a rough understanding of it inside, you create a new option for yourself. And when the time comes that you actually need that option, that’s the right moment to study it in depth.
There aren’t many terms yet, but I’ll keep adding more, so please give it a try if you’re interested.
